From April 27 to 30, 2017, Colony Art Gallery based in Bucharest will take part in the Kölner Liste - The Fair for Contemporary Art, to be held in Cologne, Germany. The Romanian presence will be marked by the cultural project Dialogue which is supported by the Romanian Cultural Institute.
The exhibition concept presents three contemporary Romanian artists: Mihai Ţopescu, Ilie Boca, Ile Ştefi (Ileana Ştefănescu). The three selected artists come from different areas with distinct experiences exploring the same theme under different aspects and techniques: the dialogue
Ile Stefi, in the second career, experiments with objects and colors. "Strings" or "graphic increases" are part of a larger project that aims to recover a number of materials such as fabric, cellulose, iron and reintroduce them in everyday life through objects.
Mihai Ţopescu, a dynamic artist with participation in various exhibitions in the country and abroad, symposiums, competitions, group or personal exhibitions, comes from the primordial area of the arts of fire. He explores the human condition with all its tragedies and joys, human typologies and myths.
Ilie Boca is one of the most important contemporary Romanian artists with numerous national and international exhibitions. His painting is a true epic images, a hymn dedicated to the unbounded spirit.
As a young fair celebrating its fourth edition in 2017, Kölner Liste has set an objective to become the key forum for new, progressive and promising contemporary galleries and artists. Populated with acclaimed art establishments for decades, the Cologne art gallery landscape still makes a thriving atmosphere for the forward-thinking creative spirit.
